I had the privilege of photographing the hottest dance party in the area, Monday night! If you’ve never heard of Zumba, you’re missing out on a great workout, and great fun!
Zumba combines Latin, hip hop, and many other flavors of dance … it’s an amazing workout, but also a ton of fun!

The fall season is my favorite time of year. The colors are so vibrant, bright, and beautiful. It’s amazing the canvas of color that God has created for us to look at daily!

Max is our nephew and might we say … the cutest kid EVER!
Well … I suppose were a little biased … but, he really is an incredibly cute little boy with an amazingly happy personality!
His smile lights up any room … and his mom makes him laugh like no other!
It was a broken mess when I drove by this old farm house in Elkhart, IN. I couldn’t help but get my camera out and photograph it. It was in March of this year, so the weather was a little chilly, but just the right temperature to capture the essence of the area.
I think there is something beautiful in the broken. Sure, it looks like chaos when you first look at it, but if you really look deeper, you can see the beauty in between the mess. We hope you enjoy. ~Erin
We photographed Janine among the nostalgic scenery of downtown Elkhart, Indiana. Amber, her aunt, came along for moral support, but was a real help after it began to rain. She held an umbrella, and provided many laughs as we made the most of the over…cast skies.
Janine was a real trooper as we trudged our way through the streets of Elkhart, but her smile and natural beauty made the day surely shine bright.

The East Race was packed with people, as we heard music from a nearby festival taking place. The sky was a perfect shade of blue, and we were ready to capture anything … and everything!

We love the city of Chicago. It’s one of those places where inspiration comes, and you really have no idea why. Perhaps it’s the richness of the architecture … or maybe it’s the bustling of the people, making their way to their next destination … not entirely sure … but every time we are standing in the midst of the city, a little inspiration is born.
I was recently in the city to have dinner with my bosses. Outside of photography, I do have a full-time gig … and getting to spend time in Chicago is just one of the many perks! My bosses always pick the most amazing places, that have the most amazing views of the city. I captured a few ‘moments’ outside of the restaurant where we were having dinner. It’s amazing that in just a moment, you can see something that you never saw before.

So … we LOVE to take photos of anything, and everything. Many times, it’s the photos that you don’t plan that turn out to be the very best.
Here are a few photos we’ve taken recently … a few were taken in Chicago … some in and around South Bend … and there are even a few from a recent trip we took to Colorado.
There are places and people that you just KNOW are amazingly beautiful … but it’s in the uncertain and sometimes ‘average’ looking things that you see beauty too … if you just look at it long enough to notice.
Justin and Cheryl met in Washington. There was an instant attraction …
Now, present day … their wedding, July 18th, 2009. They were beautiful and radiant.
The ceremony was a small one … but it was simply … beautiful. It took place in the groom’s home town of Bridgman, MI at a small church, tucked away among the greenest trees we’ve ever seen.
While simple and uncomplicated, we knew the couple didn’t need a big fuss … they just wanted to BE united as one. As they read their own vows, both had tears of happiness in their eyes. They read to each other as if no one else were in the room. Both were incredibly genuine and the words each of them spoke came straight from their hearts.
After the ceremony, it was off to the beach, where the bride wanted just a few photos of the wedding party. It was rather comical, as we trudged our way through the sand … onlookers smiled as we passed by … but all eyes were on the bride and groom.
The reception followed. It was hosted by the groom’s parents … it was simplistic, yet elegant in every way.
The smiles emanating from the parents, the bride, groom, bridal party … they were infectious! We enjoyed every moment and congratulate both Justin and Cheryl! We wish you MANY happy years together!
Kelly and Bryan were all smiles when we arrived at the shoot. We saw them from a distance as they were looking at the vast blue, beautiful sky. We could see the ‘glow’ that their love brought to the photos. Their smiles to each other were contagious!
The couple will marry in June 2010 … and we imagine that their smiles will be even more exuberant! All photos were taken at the East Race, in Downtown South Bend. Enjoy!
