First EVER Hey Sisters! Photography Photo Shoot

•July 6, 2010 • 1 Comment

Taking pictures is something we LOVE to do. It’s one of those things that makes us smile – makes us a little giddy – you know, one of the things that makes you want to get up and go to work for.

So, we want to take your picture, and build our portfolio in the process! Whether you’re an aspiring model, or just want to strike a pose for some fun, we want you to be there!

The details for our first photo shoot are below:

- The session is FREE for all participants.
- Date and Time: Sunday, July 11th at 5pm ET
- Location: Downtown Mishawaka – By the dam (we’ll be moving around, but this is where we’ll meet.)
- What to where: Where your favorite outfit! Be YOU most importantly; however, if you have some high fashion stuff that you’d like to bring along for outfit changes, that would be great too. We’re going for an urban, city girl/guy look. So feel free to bring a couple different outfits if you wish!
- Hair and makeup should be done before the session. We’ll try to have a hair stylist/makeup artist on hand if we can get one there, but please be prepared to do your own hair and makeup this time around. Feel free to bring along with you, and we can certainly help you as well!
- Prints from the session will be $10. This includes ALL size prints, up to 8x10s.
- High Resolution Disc of your images will also be available for $25. (maximum number of images will be 10 to 15)
- Images will be used by photographers for promotional type materials, as well as blog posts, website, etc., so we’ll have photography release forms for anyone who participates to sign. If anyone participates under the age of 18, we’ll send the form with you, for a parent or legal guardian to sign and send back to us.
- If you’re a parent that wants to get your child involved, email us directly: info@heysistersphotography.com. We have a separate shoot scheduled for the little ones.

Feel free to email us at info@heysistersphotography.com, call us at 574.386.3258, or send us a message via Facebook for any questions you might have. Look forward to taking your picture!

A Tasty Treat from the U.K.

•June 24, 2010 • Leave a Comment

So I love chocolate. It’s one of those things that brings me joy in moments of craziness. One of my bestest buds Roni is over from England and he brought us some VERY tasty chocolate from the U.K. It’s Cadbury chocolate – so you know it’s good. I think they say it’s fit… for the queen? Ok, maybe not – but still. It’s tasty! They’re actually truffles. Not sure if you’ve ever had a truffle, but I must say, they’re probably the tastiest thing since pepperoni pizza. (ok, so I have food on my mind today!) I just had to snap a few photos of this yum-yum chocolate treat and share! I wish I could share them with all of you, but I hope you enjoy the photos! They definitely are as good as they look! Enjoy!

Chicago: A ‘Marvel’ous City

•June 22, 2010 • 2 Comments

Chicago is one of those cities that you can’t take to many pictures of. Everywhere you look there is something NEW and interesting to see. It’s almost like a painter’s canvas – every time you think it’s finished, something changes and voila – another beautiful thing is right in front of you to marvel. While in the city this past year, there were many a moment and ‘thing’ to marvel at. We had some friends visiting from England and decided to show them a bit of what city life is like here in America. A skyscraper was somewhat foreign to them – so looking up – seeing the amazing structures in front of them – they marveled at their vastness. Really makes you appreciate the canvas of the ‘Big City’ we so often take for granted. These were just a few snapshots we took while there – what a fun moment we’ll always remember.
